Belford Singers perform at a number of events and
venues across Northumberland in the last few years. Here is a list of events and example
programmes.
SUMMER
2011
Performances of
sacred and secular music through the ages, including madrigals and folk
songs.
Sat 23
July - St. Ebba's Church Beadnell.
Belford Singers
performed to a packed St Ebba's with an audience of all ages who appreciated both the music and the
refreshments!
Sun 31
July - Gibside Chapel,
Rowlands Gill, Burnopfield, Gateshead, NE16 6BG
A relaxed Belford
Singers performed in the rotunda of Gibside Chapel to a promenade audience. A wedding party was taking place
in the grounds and we shared one of the the few sunny days we've had.
Sat 20 August - Brinkburn Priory, Nr
Rothbury.
After a light picnic lunch, our closing summer concert
took place in the fabulous acoustic of Brinkburn Priory. Brinkburn is a wonderful place to sing and the
Singers pleasure was evident in their relaxed approach to the
programme.

CHRISTMAS
2010
Due to the early winter adverse
weather conditions, we were not able to peform any of our planned Christmas concerts in 2010. We will be making
up for this in 2011 with more summer performances and will have our fingers crossed for the Christmas
period.

A programme of glorious music from many different periods, celebrating the Christmas
festival.

concert - this concert was recorded by Northumberland hospital radio for Wansbeck and Hexham hospitals over the
Christmas period. If you were unfortunate to be in either of these hospitals at this time, we hope you heard and
enjoyed some of this music. The Programme included:

Wooler 's historic parish church is
raising funds for the repair of its roof. Belford Singers were invited to perform a concert in aid of the roof

Wallington Hall, Northumberland
A promenade style concert at Wallington
Hall has now become a summer tradition for Belford Singers. This year was no exception, despite reduced numbers
due to sickness and family commitments.

Sat 9th August, 2009 - Fountains Abbey, North
Yorkshire
In glorious sunshine Belford Singers were joined by
friends and family for an informal day out at Fountains
Abbey.


Passing visitors to the Abbey Undercroft were entertained by performances of sacred
and secular music. Some very young visitors were particularly entranced by the lilting rhythm of the Agnus
Dei from Schubert's German Mass in F and contributed their own dances to the
entertainment.
